I am now at home full time for school and had to adjust everything once again. After doing online school since September, I have figured out what works and what doesn’t.
One way to eliminate any unnecessary stress on a virtual school day is to have a neat, organized, and functioning work space with everything I need nearby!
This post is all about a virtual school day desk setup!
laptop and charger

Obviously, if you have a virtual school day you are going to need your laptop or computer. I also have my charger right next to my desk because all these video calls drain my battery so fast!
school books
I keep my binders, notebooks, and folders vertically stacked under my desk so I can grab whatever I need in between periods.
It is so helpful to have such easy access to everything at your desk or work station. You can also use a backpack or a bin to stack your binders.
I would suggest standing them up vertically. It makes it so much easier to quickly grab what you need. I also have extra blank paper, lined paper, and graph paper nearby if I need.
note-taking essentials

Of course I have everything I need to take notes at home. At school, this all would have been in my pencil case, but because I am at my desk all day I spread stuff out a little more.
My most used note-taking items are mechanical pencils, colorful gel pens, and a white out pen. I have all of this stuff on the top of my desk in cute organizers.
other school supplies
Some other supplies that I use almost every virtual school day are my calculator and sticky notes.
I also found that I needed to buy myself a hole puncher this year. Usually, my teachers would print and hole punch everything before giving it to us. Now that I am home and printing all my own handouts, I realized this meant I needed to hole punch everything myself too.
agenda

Of course I also have my agenda right next to me at all times. To check out how I use my agenda, click here!
I also keep another journal at my desk that I use as a “to-do list journal.” Most of the time, I think of stuff I need to do when I am zoning off in physics or some other class, so it is super nice to have it so close.
