Want to get your life on track and get organized? Scheduling with google calendar is the perfect was to do that and take back control of your life!

At the beginning of my sophomore year, I got my first job working for a photographer. Suddenly, I was supposed to actually know my schedule and not ask my mom every time I had an appointment.
Almost immediately after getting the job, google calendar was on my phone. I have only ever used this calendar and don’t think I’ll ever switch.
Coming from someone who is probably too productive for their own good, I can tell you that this app has anything and everything you will need to keep your life together. Scheduling with google calendar seriously simplifies so much in my life!
This post is all about scheduling with google calendar!
the basics of google calendar
If you know what google calendar is, feel free to skip to the next section. If not, keep on reading!
Basically, google calendar is just like every other calendar app you can get on your phone. Except in my opinion it is the best calendar app you can get on your phone.
Scheduling with google calendar allows you to get your calendar on any device, color code everything (which might be one of my favorite things to do these days), and have a shared calendar with other people in your family.
features of google calendar
Colors
My all-time favorite feature on Google Calendar is the ability for me to color code.
I have tried apple calendar and other calendar apps and nothing is as easy with the color coding as google.
On my personal calendar, I have a different color for school, youth group, family, appointments, blog, and personal events. It makes life so much easier when you can open up your calendar and are able to tell the difference between everything.
Family calendar: using google calendar to keep track of a whole family is also super easy. Instead of each color being a different category, each color can represent a different person.
Student calendar: for a student, google calendar can also act as an online agenda. Each color can be a different class/subject and instead of adding events, you can add homework assignments and test dates.

Accessibility
Another super user-friendly feature is the ability to access your calendar anywhere. I am able to pull up my calendar on any of my own devices and everyone else’s devices.
This makes it perfect to use it as a family calendar. It also saves myself from having to worry about losing my calendar because I know it is saved to my gmail account, not my phone.
For family calendars in specific, another great feature is the ability to only view certain people’s calendars.
In other words, when you have multiple accounts on your calendar, you can select or deselect whatever you want to display. For example, if you want to only see your personal calendar, you deselect the rest. Or if you want to see everyone’s you can select them all.
