I realized how stressed I was when the school year started.
On top of the impossibility of keeping track of everything for school, I felt like I had a million and one other things on my mind. Like how often I was washing my water bottle or cleaning my makeup brushes.
They were all small, mindless tasks, but they still stressed me out. So, I created my Sunday Reset system to solve my problem.
This post is all about the sunday reset productivity system!
what is a Sunday Reset?
In simple, a “Reset” is basically just a repeating to-do list. Doing the same tasks on the same day every week.
That way, you can start the week off with a positive, stress-free mindset.
My Sunday Reset includes all the little things that need to be done once a week, but are too hard to keep track of on their own. You can also do monthly resets for less-common tasks.
my Sunday Reset routine
Personally, I write my Reset in my favorite notebook each week. I do this mostly because half of the fun of doing a reset is being able to cross everything off the list when I finish each task!
So every week, I sit down at my desk and write down everything I need to do. I usually copy the weekly tasks from my last reset, but I will add anything else that is specific for that week.
I also love to separate it into categories and of course color code everything.
My categories are usually beauty, home, and school, but you can do whatever fits your life!
Some of the tasks on my Reset every single week are cleaning my makeup brushes, meal prepping, and switching the quote on my message board (this is always my favorite one!)
how to make it YOUR reset
If your aren’t naturally inclined to want to do this, add your own touch to make it fun and interesting.
Also remember that consistency is so important!
If possible, pick a day that you know you will always have some free time and try to do your Reset the same day every week.
It shouldn’t feel like an obligation and it definitely should not add more stress to your already stressful life. However, you may not see a difference right away.
Give it some time and stick with it! Believe me, doing this makes my life feel significantly less stressful and sets up my week for success.
